Le Dino Labo

2025 - present

Le Dino Labo is the latest MR game developed by Realcast on Meta Quest 2 & 3. It is a cozy mixed reality puzzle game where you get to build the skeletons of your favorite dinosaurs and prehistoric creatures.

The player opens a bag of bones in a "Lego" fashion, the bones are scattered across the table and the player can then interact with each bone by grabbing and carefully placing them on the skeleton with their controllers or their hands.

The genesis of Le Dino Labo takes place in the Meta Horizon Start Developer Hackathon 2025, where a prototype of the game was submitted to the Casual Games category of the competition and won the Honorable Mention.

We then started to develop the full game, for which we produced 5 dinosaur skeletons, each of them coming with 3 levels of difficulty based on a bone merge system.

We are currently developing purchasable themed packs of skeletons as Meta in-app purchase, as well as coming updates of the game.

The prototype has been developed in 3 weeks for the hackathon. We then developed the first version of the base game in about 5 weeks going from the prototype.

At its best, the production team reached 3 developers and an artist. Most of the production team collaborated in Unity using git.

My contribution

My main role in the development team was to implement core gameplay systems, mostly the progression and save systems as well as Meta purchase system for our purchasable skeleton packs.​
